Unmaze is a captivating visual novel that takes inspiration from Greek mythology, offering an immersive and thought-provoking experience. You have the opportunity to guide Asterion and Theseus through a challenging maze, where your choices directly impact their fate.

The game introduces a unique gameplay mechanic, utilizing your phone's light sensor. By placing your phone in light or shade, you can communicate with either Asterion or Theseus. However, beware that helping one character may result in the other becoming lost. Your cunning, wisdom, perseverance, and skill will be put to the test as you navigate dangerous obstacles and uncover the secrets of the labyrinth.

Unmaze allows you to play the first chapter for free, providing approximately one hour of gameplay. If you wish to continue the adventure, you can unlock the full game through an in-app purchase.

Featuring an enthralling storyline with eight alternative endings, the game offers a contemporary adaptation of the myth of the Minotaur and the labyrinth. As you progress through five chapters and explore ten mazes, you will be captivated by a rich universe filled with twists and turns.

The atmosphere of Unmaze is dark and mesmerizing, further immersing you in the story. The interactive fable is brought to life through the collaborative efforts of Frédéric Jamain and Nicolas Pelloile-Oudart, written alongside Thomas Cadène, the acclaimed author of comics such as Summer, Fluid, and Alt-Life. The stunning illustrations by Florent Fortin add depth to the immersive experience.

Unmaze is a production of UPIAN and HIVER PROD, edited and co-produced by ARTE, a renowned European TV and digital culture channel. The game has received support from CNC, MEDIA EUROPE CREATIVE, RÉGION ILE-DE-FRANCE, and LA PROCIREP.

Please note that Unmaze uses your phone's front camera to adapt to your light environment, allowing for dynamic character changes during gameplay. Rest assured, no data will be recorded, and the game cannot access your camera without your permission.
